Davide Melini’s LION


The Synopsis intrigues us with hints of what’s in store and with a tag line of “Man’s biggest fear has risen again,” this short has us eager to see it all!


“An isolated chalet in a snowy forest… A man blinded by alcohol… A woman unable to rebel… And an 8-year-old child troubled and dark… The silent night is broken with cries… the start of a terrible nightmare…”


Written & Directed by Davide Melini, (“Donatello Awards 2011” official selection for his short film “The sweet hand of the White Rose“) The assistant director of Dario Argento‘s “Mother of Tears: The Third Mother” and “Penny Dreadful,”  an Italian screenwriter and director who lives in Spain, has a new short film in the works (post production.) Lion is scheduled for release this Fall (2016.)

Pedro Sánchez, Michael Segal (“Colour from the Dark“, “Anger of the Dead“), Tania Mercader are just a few of the stars in this film.
